Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGM) and Insulin Pumps

Continuous glucose monitors (CGM) are wearable devices that perform hundreds of glucose measurements (day or night) nearly eliminating the need for finger sticks. Often the glucose readings can be collected on a cellphone or the provided glucose receiver via Bluetooth®.  Researchers Chehregosha et al note that CGM’s provide a personalized approach to diabetes management unlocking the mystery behind the HbA1c. CGM supported lifestyle change enables the user to make decisions with real time feedback.

Continuous glucose monitors help patients monitor their glucose levels without the need for daily fingersticks while providing real-time feedback.  Insulin pumps and delivery devices provide insulin by reducing or eliminating multiple daily injections. Our educators work with you and your provider to determine the best products that fit your lifestyle to best control your diabetes.
